s I got more and more into
photography, I started to look around and think, "Hey, there are a ton of great
pictures to be taken right in my backyard." So I try to capture all the evocative
images that are right under our noses. This could be anything, but I tend toward
rustic, backwoods scenes: weathered sheds, abandoned farm equipment swallowed
by underbrush, pastureland sunsets over barbed wire. Call it Southern Gothic
without trying to be so serious, an attitude I think you can see in the self
portrait below, "Peeking
Over a Cookie Decorated with Snowmen."
Most of the pictures in the gallery were
captured with a digital camera, but there are still some good old fashioned
35mm film shots in there too. If you're so inclined, I hope you'll take some
time to look around. And if you have any questions or comments, please
let me know.
Thanks,
Jason Anderson
